He Can Take It

"Cast = (Epirito) to throw upon

"Throw your cares (anxiety) upon HIM."

HE CAN TAKE IT. ALL OF IT.

It doesn't have to be neatly packaged into a tidy prayer.

It doesn't have to be said a certain way. God understands the inaudible groans...the mumbles between sobs...the whispers in the night...so just throw it at Him.

All the worries. All the fears. All the anxieties. All that concerns you. HE CAN TAKE IT. ALL OF IT.

You are not alone. You are not invisible. You are loved totally...completely...fully. And you are going to be okay."

I wrote these words awhile ago and posted them on our Facebook page. I hoped to bring encouragement to someone - anyone. Today, they returned in my "Facebook Memories" to be an encouragement to me.

My "Mama's heart" has felt the weight of a great many burdens as of late.

So many people I love are hurting.

I wish a princess band-aid and a popsicle could heal every wound inflicted.

If only "nap and snack" could solve all the problems.

But they can't.

And at times, the reality that I am unable to "make it better" overwhelms me with feelings of defeat.

And that's when Jesus reminds me:

HE CAN TAKE IT. ALL OF IT.

And I can rest in those final words of 1 Peter 5:7 - "...for He cares for you."

He has "thoughtful regard" for you...for me...and for that person we are burdened for.

He is "mindful" of us.

We are not forgotten.

We are His Beloved.

Today, whatever you are going through, can I encourage you to "cast" it on Jesus?

I promise you...

HE CAN TAKE IT. ALL OF IT.

Lean back and put the full weight of every burden on Him.

Take a load off.

Have a seat.

You can trust His care.
