To the Woman Who...

To the woman in the trenches of mothering toddlers...

To the woman sipping coffee to stay awake at her job after a late night of studying for her finals...

To the woman sitting in the empty room of her last child as she prepares for him to leave in the Fall for college...

To the woman tackling challenges at work day in and day out...

To the woman facing head on the transition into retirement...

To the woman in the minivan full of soccer players and giggles...

To the woman in the crowded coffee shop wishing she wasn't sitting alone...

To the teenage girl walking the halls of her school wondering where she fits in...

To the mom of the prodigal...

To the grandma who misses her far-a-way family...

To you - right where you are...

Know this:

Psalm 139 tells us that when God created us - He made us "fearfully." This word means with "honor" and "reverence" and "awe." Our creation was sacred and special to God. It was not done lightly. We were not an afterthought, an "oops," or a mistake. The hands of God skillfully formed and shaped us. He moved across the clay with purpose and intention - carving out every detail "wonderfully."

To be "wonderfully" made is to be made "distinct" and "rare," "marvelous" and "unique." No one can be you. No one can take your place. Like Esther, you were made "for such a time as this (Esther 4:14)" and planted by God right where you are to "display His glory (Isaiah 61:3b)."

Moses did great things for God, but so did His mother when she defied Pharaoh and rescued her son from certain death.

Timothy was one of the youngest leaders in the early church, leading the largest church in existence at the time. He did great things for God, but so did his grandmother and mother who taught him of the Lord at a young age.

Every life is significant.

Women of God - let's stop comparing ourselves to each other and let's embrace who WE are. In the trenches of motherhood, in the world of business and finance, in the classroom tackling our masters, in the hallway of a high school - We were made on purpose for a purpose and we are here - ON PURPOSE.

We are "fearfully" and "wonderfully" made for "such a time as this" to "display His glory" RIGHT WHERE WE HAVE BEEN PLANTED.

Will you speak that out loud today?

"I am fearfully and wonderfully made for such a time as this to display His glory RIGHT WHERE I HAVE BEEN PLANTED."

There is nothing insignificant about you. Psalm 139 goes on to say that you were "intricately woven" together in the womb. These words paint a picture of detailed embroidery. Sewn into you is exactly what God wanted for the purposes He had in mind when He created you.

It's time for us to live on purpose.

It's time for us to embrace who we are.

It's time for us to display His glory right where we've been planted.

Women of God, are you with me?
